Valencia, March 29-The construction of a HTC plant with Ingelia´s technology in the Italian municipality of Chiusi is now a reality. Last November of 2018 Ingelia S.L. and Acea Ambiente concluded the negotiations to install the first HTC Plant for sewage sludge valorisation in Italy. The institutional support of the Municipality of Naquera to the Valencian company Ingelia has led to the Mayor of Naquera, Damian Ibañez, having offered an official reception at the consistory today, since it was in this Valencian municipality when Ingelia in 2010 completed the installation of its first industrial plant HTC, capable of processing at that time 10,000 tons of organic waste per year.
The reception was attended by the Mayor of the Italian municipality, Juri Bettolini, as well as his environmental adviser, Micheletti Andrea and his urban manager Emiliano Fastelli, the CEO of the company Acea Ambiente, Giovanni Vivarelli and his team and Marisa Hernández CEO of Ingelia and Massimo Manobianco, president of Ingelia Italia.
Ibañez with the Councilor for Municipal Services, Esther Lébana and the Councilor for New Technologies, María Dolores Pérez, has expressed his satisfaction for hosting a project as Ingelia in the municipality of Naquera and highlighted the importance of local entities movingthis business model to the supramunicipal level. PLANT IN ITALY
The construction of a hydrothermal carbonization plant in the municipality of Chiusi, is expected to be completed by the end of 2020. The plant will be built on a ground of 20,000 square meters. It will consist of 8 reactors with a treatment capacity of 80,000 tons per year of sewage sludge. Acea Group is the first Italian operator in the sector with approximately 1 million tons of waste treated per year. Acea has been present in the waste management business for more than 10 years, in the waste valorisation and energy recovery. This way, Ingelia maintains its leadership within the HTC sector with four industrial plants in the market. Ingelia’s patented process produces Hydrochar and liquid fertilizer, from any type of wet organic waste, such as the organic fraction of urban waste, sewage sludge, agroforestry waste and agro-food industry waste.
