New HTC plant in Italy for organic waste from sewage sludge

Valencia, November 5-The Valencian company Ingelia S.L. continues with the development of its business plan in Europe. The negotiations between Ingelia S.L. and Acea Ambiente, the first sludge and sewage manager in Italy, have successfully completed and the construction of a hydrothermal carbonization plant in the municipality of Chiusi, is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. The plant, of 20,000 square meters It will consist of 8 reactors and treat 80,000 tons per year of sewage sludge.

In this way, Ingelia maintains the leadership in the HTC sector and is in the lead with three industrial plants in the market. Ingelia’s patterned process can produce Biochar (Hydrochar), and liquid fertilizer, from any type of wet organic waste, such as the organic fraction of urban waste, sewage sludge, agroforestry waste and agro-food industry waste

The Acea Group is the first Italian operator in the sector with approximately 1 million tons of waste treated per year. Acea has been present in the business of waste management for more than 10 years, in the elimination and energy recovery of waste. It is confirmed as one of the main national players and operator of reference for the center of Italy. Among its activities: disposal, waste energy, composting and biogas, sludge treatment and liquid waste.

ECOMONDO

Acea Ambiente will present its hydrothermal carbonization plant at the 22nd edition of Ecomondo, the leading exhibition for the green and circular economy that will be held from November 6 to 9, 2018 at the Rimini Expo Center.
