Marisa Hernandez will present her experience with Ingelia S.L., a company that has been operating since 2010 with one of the first industrial plants around the world that work with hydrothermal carbonization technology (HTC). HTC technology is the most efficient solution to recover the vital elements of all types of organic waste and allows them to be transformed into hydrochar: biomaterial that allows the reintroduction of biomaterials obtained from waste into economic cycles. In addition to resolving waste management problems with this technology, carbon materials are generated for bioindustry applications, in line with the European Community objectives.

Among the numerous acknowledgments that the company has received, there are three stamps of excellence of the European Commission and the EC Watify Award 2017 that certifies the process of Ingelia as a key technology for the recovery of organic waste. Ingelia is positioned as a leader in its sector in technological and market development, with two industrial plants operating in the market and delegations in six EU countries and a competitive advantage over competitors of at least 4 years.
