The Grupo Gimeno bets on Ingelia HTC industrial process

The Grupo Gimeno, a company founded in Castellón 145 years ago and dedicated to waste management in one of its business lines, has opted for the HTC technology developed by Ingelia for the recovery of organic waste.

Fobesa (Grupo Gimeno) and Ingelia founded a joint venture called Biocarbons (Carbons biològics del Mediterrani) with the aim of promoting industrial plants that use HTC technology in innovative circular economy business models.

The HTC plants recover materials from organic waste, obtaining biocoal that can replace fossil carbon and other materials in industry, as well as a liquid biofertilizer that replaces fossil fertilizers in agriculture, protecting aquifers and the environment.

Ingelia and Grupo Gimeno, in their strong commitment to innovation, intend to promote Biocarbons business plan starting from Valencian Community and working on its expansion plan as a leader in circular economy.
