HTC Plant of Monforte in Galician Energy Fair

ABIGA, promoter of the hydrothermal carbonization plant of Monforte de Lemos, presented the project during the course of the Energy Fair of Galicia. The HTC plant, located in the logistic area of Monforte de Lemos (Galicia) known as “Puerto Seco” and with an investment of 20M€, will consist of 18 HTC reactors that will process about 80,000 tons of forest residues per year, pine and eucalyptus mostly, generating about 37,000 tons of biofuel, production that will be reached when the plant is fully operational after the two years of construction and commissioning.
