INGELIA PARTICIPATES AGAIN THIS YEAR IN THE e-EUBCE 2020

As usual since 2011, Ingelia was selected to make an oral presentation this year in the prestigious 28th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition 2020, that was foreseen to take place in Marseille under the High Patronage of Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republik. Economic Recovery and Climate policy are both top priorities for them, and this years EUBCE has been dedicated to it.

Martin Hitzl, COO and CTO at Ingelia presented its solution for Carbon sourcing of Cupola Furnace Industry with Hydrothermally Carbonised Paper Sludge, a Circular Economy Model, publishing the last advances in the continuous research company´s activities in upgrading of HTC products. The research work has been done in collaboration with the ITQ, Swerim and Herp Gieβereitechnik Gmbh.

During the closing session, Nicolae Scarlat, Conference Technical Programme Chair, resumed the key take home messages from the conference: the European Green Deal and the Recovery Plan represent a great opportunity to recognize a key role to sustainable bioenergy as an essential contributor to achieving the climate target. Ensuring the sustainability of biomass supply and a stable long-term policy framework are necessary to boost investments for the deployment of bioenergy. We thank Nicolae Scarlat, for expressly mentioning Ingelia during the closing session, focusing on its HTC solution for the valorisation of paper sludge and application of hydrochar in the steel sector as an example of innovation in the bioeconomy.

We, Ingelia, missed the feeling of the physical conference this year and are working hard to be selected to present again in 2021 our next technology developments.
