Ingelia established its first international subsidiary, Ingelia Italy, Monday January 26 in a notary of Pisa. The new company is formed half with Valencian capital and 50% capital contribution with its Italian partner Smarty Agency.
Ingelia Italy plans to manage organic waste collected selectively in fourteen municipalities (200,000 inhabitants) in the region of Tuscany in order to transform non-municipal solid waste into biochar for energy and industrial use.
The project involves installing in the town of Cappanori 10 reactors with HTC technology (hydrothermal carbonization) with which to process 75,000 tonnes per year of organic waste from these municipalities with an investment up to 2016 of 15 million euros.
Already Ingelia have opened negotiations with other municipalities in the region of Lombardy (Northern Italy) to process their organic waste, confirming that the operation of internationalization in Italy is being a success.
