INGELIA AT THE COP25 SELECTED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

                                              Round table at the COP25

 

On December 10, 2019, the “EU Energy Day” organized by the European Commission in its own pavilion in the blue zone of the COP25 took place in Madrid. The objective of the event was to involve the large European energy companies with the most innovative ones to accelerate innovation in the clean energy sector in a way that contributes to the European Green Deal to be the first 100% renewable content in 2050.
Michael R. Bloomberg, Frans Timmermans and Werner Hoyer president of the EIB participated in the agenda developing financing strategies dedicated to the growth of innovative companies that contribute to the objective of the Union.
Ingelia had the honor of participating in the session. “Accelerating innovation for the European green deal” by sharing a round table with the directors of the big European companies such as Elina Kivioja, CEO, Vattenfall Finland, Antoine Badinier, Deputy to the Group Sustainability Officer, EDF, Manon van Beek, CEO, TenneT and Fabrizio Bizzarri, Head of Solar, Wind and Geothermal Innovation, Enel Green Power. The session was moderated by Mark van Stiphoutm head of unit of the European Commission’s Directorate of Clean Energy and the session was closed by Patrick Child, Director of Energy of the European Commission, who assured that the Paris Agreement will only succeed if, as a humanity, we are able to develop a new neutral climate with energy technologies to bring them to market. The Horizon 2020 program, the largest program of support for research and innovation in the world (80 billion euros from 2014 to 2020), in combination with other mechanisms to support R&D in the energy sector ensure that the EU have a portfolio of instruments to ensure that the energy technologies necessary to achieve climate neutrality are investigated, developed and brought to market as quickly as possible.
Thanks to Innonergy, HTC’s Ingelia technology to recover carbon from organic waste was chosen to represent European Innovation in the biomass sector.
