The Gimeno Group, a company founded in Castellón 145 years ago and dedicated to waste management as one of its lines of business, has opted for the HTC technology developed by Ingelia for the recovery of organic waste.

Fobesa (Gimeno Group) and Ingelia founded a joint venture called Biocarbons (Carbons biològics del Mediterrani) with the aim of promoting industrial plants that use HTC technology in innovative circular economy business models.

HTC plants recover materials from organic waste, obtaining a biochar that can replace fossil coal and other materials in industry, as well as a liquid biofertilizer that replaces fossil fertilizers in agriculture, protecting aquifers and the environment.

Ingelia and Grupo Gimeno, in their strong commitment to innovation, aim to boost Biocarbons' business plan starting in the Valencian Community and working on their expansion plan as a leading reference in the circular economy.
